November is here already!

So we are in November already and I can't believe it's gone by that fast. Gabe took his HVAC test and he proudly now holds a Universal HVAC license yay! We did a couple of fun things so far to celebrate the fall season. We had the opportunity to go apple picking in Markam,VA and it was an experience! :) The kids had a great time picking apples and I had a good time figuring out how to make different apple recipes! We took a trip to Frying Pan park to take a hayride all around the farm. The kids loved seeing all the animals (except for Little Gabe and the pig pen) let's just say that little guy has a very weak stomach hahaha. Kayla competed in her first High school cheerleading competition and she did great! She can't wait to do it again. Emma started gymnastics Monday of this week and she loves it so far. Haylee continues to do Ballet and loves having her friend Joelle in her class. They are just two little princesses. Halloween has already come and gone, we had a Fancy Nancy (book character-Emma), the little mermaid (Haylee) and of course our little football player. They had a blast trick or treating with their neighborhood friends. Not so fun for Gabe having to carry little Gabe up the street and me carrying him back down the street, but so is parenthood! Gabe and I are looking forward to taking a trip to the temple together....our family is in need of it's many blessings! As always whereever our family is and whatever there doing we love each of them very much!

The Coots in the fall

As we approach the fall season, of course many things are happening at the Coots' household. Kayla started her first year of High school and also became and Oakton Cougar cheerleader, just like her stepmom. It's also Kayla's first year of seminary, the getting up so early part is not too fun, but sounds like she is really striving in the church. Emma also started her first year of elementary school at Crossfield ES, it was so exciting having her attend the same school that her mommy once attended. She is loving kindergarten especially the "bus riding part". Emma will also be cheering this fall for the Reston Seahawks Youth Football, she is very anxious to cheer just like her big sister. Haylee will be taking ballet class for the first time and can't wait to be a princess ballerina! As for baby Gabe, all I can say is TROUBLE! my little man, can't seem to not find things to get into and new things to create or make a mess of. He loves his Thomas the tank engine stuff and if he's playing, thats where you'll find him, at his train track! Big Gabe had a couple of health issues this month so far with his stomach. We are getting him into a Gastro doc and hopefully things will turn out ok. On Sept. 26th he'll be taking his HVAC licensing test and he's super excited about it, hopefully starting a new page in our life. As for me, just trying to keep up with the kids schedules and my own schooling, it's a task in itself but I think I can handle it! We are looking forward to starting fresh this fall and hope our family is happy in whatever they are doing! HAPPY FALL!

Update of April

Well we are still in April, on the 29th Gabe and I will be celebrating our 7th anniversary! We can't believe 7 years have gone by already, within those years we managed to create a beautiful family. Poor Gabe gets pretty busy with the next couple of weeks, he celebrates our anniversary, my birthday on the 8th of May and Mother's Day. Poor guy! Jenna and Kayla are buckling down with their studies trying to make their last quarter a good one! Emma will be graduating from Preschool on May 29th, so she's preparing a little performance for that. She is still in softball, finally getting the hang of it! Haylee is starting to finally get used to nursery in church, it's taken forever, but she's a special little girl who needs the extra time. She will be starting preschool in the fall. Gabriel is our little man who is soooo comical....we love watching him grow and start talking. So far he says cars, trucks, daddy, ma (on occasion) , Lola(our dog) and Nan (for his Nana) and man does he have Nana and daddy wrapped!!! We are still on the hunt for a house, we try to stay positive that something will happen when its supposed to for us. In the meantime, Gabe continues to work 2 jobs and I continue to be a busy mommy to five and full time student. So most of the time I feel like I'm losing my mind, but my family's awesome and we through everything together!

April 2009

Well it's our first time making a webpage so please bare with us. In April of 2009 we have started off having Spring Vacation for the kids. Of course we are just at home Jenna and Kayla went to Michigan and Emma has strep throat for the second time this year. Daddy is always busy working and on the side coaching Emma's little league softball team. Little Gabe is into just about everything! Climbing, making a mess, and playing with his cars, ambulances and baseballs. Haylee and Emma got to dye their Easter eggs yesterday and they look ohhhh so beautiful! And Mommy is 24-7 mommy and on the little time I find, I'm trying to finish up my schooling to get my certificate for Medical Transcribing. We are still on the lookout for a house. It sometimes feels like a lost cause. But we keep trucking! Happy Spring! Let's go ASTROS!
